As we enter into an age of greater wisdom, we will escape the constraints of current notions of reality. Freedom will be understood not only as a life situation, but as a state of awareness flowing naturally through the Reality Continuum. You can learn more in my article "Discover the Reality Continuum."

Deep within the Transcendent dwells infinite silence, Kaivalya. It's the field of limitless bliss and profound rest. Take this opportunity to enter the domain of infinite solitude at the Winter Kaivalya Meditation Retreat this January 29 - February 5, 2006. Details below.

Discover the Reality Continuum

When I was a little boy, I remember seeing a picture on an album cover of ancient Indian music. It illustrated a group of musicians playing in a courtyard to a king and queen in the balcony above. I was awestruck by the multiple, super-imposed stampings of the painting. At first, I wondered if it was a mistake. But upon noticing that everything else on the album cover was single stamped, I concluded that it was no error. It was done on purpose. The image touched a place inside me, a place that dwells within all of us, a place of innate deeper knowing.

The image spoke to me of a profound principle in nature, in fact, in physics. The intellectual understanding came years later after majoring in physics and mathematics as an undergrad. The picture illustrated the existence of what I have come to call the Reality Continuum. I found it most gratifying when, after many years of lecturing on the principle, I learned that some modern physicists were theorizing the existence of multiple realities.

An Excerpt from The Golden Frog by Michael Mamas

In The Golden Frog, the reader is allowed to experience a variety of realities. With each reading, the reader is able to experience more.

The following excerpt begins with a young Bruce on his way to his friend's house on Halloween.

From Chapter 5 - The Toy Giraffe

I glanced back briefly and then charged forward even faster. Mathew's home was at the end of the street, only a few more houses down. Fortunately, the bridge on Mulvern Street traversing the creek was just ahead. No one could cross that bridge without me seeing who was there. I nervously peeled the spiky casings off the buckeyes and began to roll them together in my hand. Even though nobody followed me over the bridge, my fear stayed with me. I walked faster. Finally, I could see the lights shining in Mathew's house. Safety was straight ahead.

I got to his back door, shoved the buckeyes into my pocket, and knocked. Then I knocked a little louder, a bit more rapidly, and several more times than usual. I quickly looked behind me, to one side and then the other, and then peered through the door window for signs of movement. Someone was coming.

    Hurry up!

It was Mathew. I pushed past him as he opened the door and made a beeline to the den, leaving him to follow behind. I was safe.

Mathew's mom was running the vacuum cleaner. I spotted little Nathaniel all curled up in a ball on the couch and covered in a blanket. I pulled the buckeyes out of my pocket, sat in the armchair by the window, and peered outside into the darkness. Fiddling with buckeyes always seemed to calm me down. Buckeyes were miraculous that way. One moment they served as ammo and the next, a great pacifier.

As I gazed out the window, I had no sense of anyone lurking in the shadows. In fact, quite to the contrary, the setting was serene and inviting - an ideal Halloween night. It no longer appeared to be devoid of neighbors, either. A few kids were scurrying from door to door as their parents stood along the curbs of Mulvern Street, flashlights in hand, awaiting their children's return with growing bags of treasure. Strange how that same scene could appear frightening or serene. I wondered which it really was. I guess it was both. Kind of like buckeyes. Pacifiers, but at the same time, ammo. Maybe everything else worked that way.

Existence holds an infinite number of different realities, each offering a unique understanding of all objects and laws of nature in existence. As Nathaniel said in The Golden Frog, "The world is not as we've been led to believe." Or as world-renowned modern physicist, Anton Zeilinger, put it, "Skepticism is the only road to new knowledge." Question everything. I encourage you to take this opportunity to go beyond...

    Sincerely,
