January, 2007
This new millennium has begun with extreme change.
For example, a number of third-world countries
are rising to economic prosperity. Change is often
met with insecurity and fear. But basic economic
theory promises otherwise which is as the world
begins to flourish, everyone in every country
promises to benefit. This is the dawn of a new
era in global prosperity that, in time, has the
potential of reaching past all barriers of humanity.
However, change demands flexibility, a new outlook,
and an open mind. As cultural integrities grow
and prosper, humanity will rise above the limitations
of identity. Individual integrity will flourish
hand-in-hand with universal love. This is the
true nature of life in harmony with natural law.
I invite you to make your resolution for 2007
truly great. Reaffirm your resolve to evolve further.
beyond the constraints of identity. illuminating
global consciousness and bringing forth a new
era for all humanity. Imagine a world in peace
and harmony where all nations prosper and all
people live in joy. This is our destiny.
In a world of such change, it is easy to get confused.
Never forget there is only one barrier: identity.
Our only mission is to free the world from the
conditioned identities that have enslaved humanity
throughout the ages. Though, at first glance,
this may appear to be a formidable task. In actuality,
it is not. The world is ripe for it. Modern technology
and the media have made the folly of our old ways
obvious to humanity. Though they may not have
the words or a crystal clear understanding, most
everyone senses the need for this new direction.
What everyone has always longed for is beginning
to come into focus for humanity.
Join me in a New Year's resolution truly worth
making. Let us resolve to bring forth this phase
transition in human awareness and create a global
community embracing all men, women, and children.
This will lead us forward to a global mentality
that will nourish our entire planet and all creatures
who walk upon it. It is within our grasp. May
we resolve together to make it a reality.
The knowledge of how to actually bring that about
is as elusive as it is effective. It is a knowledge
so sublime that it has slipped through the fingers
of even the greatest societies, large and small,
throughout the ages. So let us clearly proclaim,
it is our purpose and our commitment to bring
that knowledge forth in its sublime purity and
manifest it in its full glory.

How to Make an Effective
Resolution
Happy New Year!
This is a time when many of us resolve to
make changes. May we do so wisely. Yet,
what does it mean to make wise resolutions?
Our lives are comprised of our habits. How
we function is the result of habitual patterns,
deeply ingrained into our very physiologies,
the manifestation of conditioning arising
from the sum total of our life experiences.
For any resolution to be truly effective,
it is not enough to try to change our behavior.
The tonal quality of our body tissues must
shift. As a result of those shifts, our
behavior changes in a complete and genuine
manner.
But how does one achieve that?

An Excerpt from Unconditioned
Spirit by Michael Mamas
From
Chapter 23 - Cultural Integrity
I remember one of my teachers from India.
He seemed to embody Truth-something that
resided beyond the grasp of any cultural
code or tangible quality. He lived in harmony
with natural law.
To live in harmony with natural law means
to live in a manner that supports evolution.
I was privileged to watch him interface
with representatives from diverse cultures.
How he held himself was my greatest lesson
in cultural integrity. He honored and showed
great respect to every culture. Yet simultaneously,
I could feel in his presence a level of
wisdom that transcended cultural codes.
The dynamics of nature were structured into
his very being. He lived that level of life
where humanity was clearly perceived as
an expression of nature. His behavior sang
the song of the mechanics of nature. He
spontaneously held all cultures in that
exquisite context. His every gesture, glance,
and utterance was to me a profound lesson.
He continually behaved with such respect
for the uniqueness of each culture, even
if it was contrary to his own norms. The
very way he held himself as he interfaced
with people from any culture embodied an
integrity and dignity that breathed life
into that culture. The wisdom underlying
his behavior, however, was not overt. In
fact to most, it may have gone largely unnoticed.
Wisdom is like that. It so easily slips
through one's fingers.

is not measured by the philosophy you adopt. It
is a more subtle thing. gauged by the emancipation,
the aliveness you embody. Sensing that freedom
growing within you, I gauge my work as successful.
