  • These are challenging times on many fronts. As difficult as going through it may be, I believe the ultimate outcome will be fantastic. In Cinderella Man, a movie based on a true-story, Russell Crowe played a washed-up fighter who returned to the ring after the Great Depression to become Number 1. In the movie, when asked what made the difference, Cinderella Man responded with one word: "milk." After what he and his family endured during the depression, there was a deep-seated return to fundamentals. This return to fundamentals will happen globally in multiple arenas. Spiritually, this will be most excellent. People will let go of superficial emotionalism, dogma, glamour, glitz, and metaphysical mumbo-jumbo. Instead, they will insist upon the real deal. With this will come the great awakening of humanity to which I have been steadfastly dedicated.

    Somnath Hall

Mount Soma is doing extremely well. Construction of the community center has begun and we expect it to be completed this summer. Our hope is that Somnath Hall will be finished at the same time. The design has blossomed into something truly magnificent with 50 tons of solid hand-carved granite from India.

Pictures on the process of construction can be seen at somnathusa.org.

Veda, Right-handed Tantra, Left-handed Tantra - A New Article by Michael

ImageIn the spiritual arena, it's important to clearly distinguish between three terms: Veda, right-handed tantra, and left-handed tantra. Simply stated, Veda correlates to physics, right-handed tantra correlates to engineering, and left-handed tantra correlates to hot-wiring a car.

An Excerpt from Unconditioned Spirit by Michael Mamas

    From Chapter 9, pages 44-45.

.Firstly, it is epidemic that spiritual seekers begin to think of themselves as enlightened. Secondly, the question appears, if enlightenment is that ordinary, then what good is it? The point is that the state of enlightenment involves wakefulness on levels that are dormant and therefore imperceptible to most people. It is a level that lies beyond thoughts, emotions, and the physical body. Many may ask with all sincerity, "But what else is there besides thoughts, emotions, and the physical body?" What lies beyond is the grandeur, the true greatness of who it is and what it is we are. What is remarkable is not the state of enlightenment. What is remarkable is that so many people live their life unaware of that level.

When an individual's consciousness has become distracted or preoccupied by conditioned modes of function (identity), deeper awareness is obstructed. The state of enlightenment is quite simply a state of physiology when those cobwebs and distractions are sufficiently cleared so that the awareness can function naturally, in a transgradiently integrated manner.

    Closing Thought

I only ask you to think, reflect, feel, ponder and look deeper. Do not fall prey to the vogue spiritual hype of emotionalism, magic tricks, and drama. Discernment is not cynicism, judgmentalness, or negativity. It's the ability to traverse the razor's edge that leads to genuine spiritual growth.

You have only so much time in your physical vehicle. Please, please, use it wisely. Your potential is unlimited.
